Administration

I currently serve as Dean of Upper Elementary at Vanguard Charter Academy. Prior to this role, I was a 5th grade classroom teacher from 2016-2019. As Dean of Upper Elementary, I oversee 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms, students, and teachers. My role as Dean is very similar to the role of an Assistant Principal. I handle student behavior, scheduling, attendance, curriculum implementation, coaching, and evaluations. 

 

In my role as a Dean, my focus is on our 3rd-5th grade classrooms. I complete observations with my teachers and give feedback during what we call O3s (one-on-ones). I also lead wing meetings, data meetings, staff meetings, and committee meetings. I am also our State Testing Coordinator and Building Coach for MTSS (Multi Tiered Systems of Support). I hope to one day become a principal and lead a building of my own.
