Hannah Anderson

My family is very important to me. I grew up in a suburb outside of Chicago with my parents and my younger brother. Once I graduated from high school, I moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to attend Grand Valley State University where I met my husband, Austin. Austin and I still live in Grand Rapids, while my brother has relocated to Austin, Texas and my parents have retired to Surprise, Arizona. While we may no longer be close in location, we are still very close as a family unit. Plus, it gives Austin and I some great places to travel and escape these Michigan winters!

Our family unit is also growing by two more little feet, as Austin and I had our first child, Leighton Grace, on July 20th. 2021. We are already so in love with her, albeit sleeping a lot less these days! We are ready for this next adventure and look forward to all we will learn from being parents!

I also love being a dog mom to our little Havenese, Ziggy! Ziggy was born on May 4th, 2019 and has been our little Star Wars pup ever since. He is loving, playful, and the perfect distraction when life gets a bit stressful. My hope is to have Ziggy trained as a service dog and start a program at school for him too work with students experiencing trauma or anxiety, as many studies have shown that therapy dogs can work wonders with school-aged children.
